Performing seven times at SXSW in March 2006, González went on to sell out solo shows in virtually every major US market last year, in addition to performing at festivals such as Central Park Summerstage Austin City Limits, Hollywood Bowl, Bumbershoot, the Intonation Music Festival, V Fest and most recently at the Coachella Music Festival in April 2007.

After concluding the first US tour in Minneapolis on October 13th, 2007, González will tour the UK and Europe. He will return to the US for a second tour beginning November 2007 (dates TBA).

“In Our Nature” sees González coming into his own as a songwriter – displaying a heightened emphasis on melody and strong, focused lyrics with songs that are as instantly accessible as they are brimming with darkness and brooding intensity. “There’s so much lost time to cover,” former VHS or Beta member Zeke Buck said in a recent interview with his hometown paper, The Louisville Eccentric Observer. “Basically, I’m trying to start anew.”

And that’s exactly what Buck is doing. After a successful 10 year run in VHS or Beta – which included a national arena tour with Duran Duran – Buck now devotes his time and talent to People Noise, the band he started with good friend and ex-Boom Bip member Matt Johnson.

The new act received a very warm response from the hometown crowd when it opened for TV On The Radio in Louisville, and now fans are catching on all throughout the US as the group continues to criss-cross the country in support of its upcoming debut album Ordinary Ghosts.

With Johnson on drums and Buck on, well, everything else, these Louisville natives have produced a unique and psychedelic rock sound that cites influences from Black Sabbath to Bjork. For its live shows, Johnson and Buck are joined by Rahman McGuinnis on guitar, Woody Woodmansee on keyboards and Mike DuFresne on bass.

Motor Announces North American Tour

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

6/14/07 Edmonton, Canada Starlite Room
6/15/07 Minneapolis, MN Loft Event Space
6/16/07 Detroit, MI Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit
6/29/07 Brooklyn, NY Studio B (with Black Strobe)
6/30/07 Boston, MA Axis
7/1/07 Toronto, Canada The Guvernment

While electronic live acts have merged further into the anonymity of the DJ booth, MOTOR guzzle petrol, bellow toxic fumes and roar from the stage as all three band members wrestle with vocal duties and (alter) egos over their instruments.

Last year saw MOTOR tour extensively around the US with Nitzer Ebb as well as their own domination of clubs, gigs and festivals across Europe and Japan. If anything the MOTOR live show is now a finely tuned barrage of stage energy, spit in your face noise and assured self belief as the band have matured into a well oiled trio of techno blazing and rock posturing sonic deviants. Their new material has taken this mutant disco hybrid and coerced it into a sleeker and more mature sound that smoothes the edges yet retains the attitude of their previous clubland destroying singles.

MOTOR will be touring in support of their brand new album UNHUMAN – which XLR8R magazine says “Unhuman sounds like Nitzer Ebb kicking Laibach’s ass at the sweatiest techno party ever.” UNHUNMAN is the follow-up to MOTOR’S 2006 debut album KLUNK.

Starting today, limited edition copies of the recording will be available on USB Memory Stick via Bob Marley’s official website www.bobmarley.com. The event marks the very first artist-specific album to be released using this groundbreaking format.

Released in 1977, Marley recorded the Exodus album in exile. Having escaped an assassination attempt in Jamaica, he arrived in London during the first week of 1977 and set to work recording his fifth studio album. Exodus became the album that transformed Marley’s career, a recording of extraordinary creative maturity which resonated with audiences around the world. The album established Marley as the Third World’s first superstar, a legacy that survives thirty years after the album’s release.

Rilo Kiley Announces Album, “Under The Blacklight”

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

Rilo Kiley have built an illustrious career on creating masterful, deeply engrossing albums, the songs balancing an intimate confessional side with a kind of cavalier joie de vive and an increasingly affectionate nod to their Southern Californian musical heritage. The band¹s last record, 2004¹s More Adventurous, prompted Elvis Costello to praise the ³best lyric writing that I’ve heard in many a day², Coldplay to invite them on their 2005 arena tour and a plethora of critics to vote them into their annual ³best of² lists.
Lead singer and songwriter Jenny Lewis¹ dexterity for lush power pop, soulful synths and weepy country ballads has won the band a large and dedicated fan base, bolstered by the blistering live shows which match Lewis¹ astonishing charisma with singer/guitarist Blake Sennett¹s shimmering guitar and the exemplary drum and bass partnership of Jason Boesel and Pierre de Reeder.

Under The Blacklight, their fourth album and their first for Warner Bros, was recorded in Los Angeles in fall/winter 2006 and winter 2007, and is Rilo Kiley at their most robust and dazzling. It comes after an 18 month hiatus during with Sennett released a second album with The Elected, Boesel recorded with Bright Eyes and Lewis released her debut solo album. Lewis, having spent all of 2006 promoting the southern soul-influenced Rabbit Fur Coat, returns to her rock roots with obvious relish; the delicate acoustic harmonies of her solo sojourn have given way to deliciously full-bodied vocals and exuberant songs complemented by rich guitar sounds and opulent production.
